Supporting all carers
Space @ The Broomhouse Hub has been supporting carers of all ages for many years. Our Young Carers support starts from age five, and we provide help through adulthood.
We have a number of carers who have been on a long-term journey with us; no two experiences are the same.
If you or someone you know is a carer looking for help, or a cared-for person wanting to ensure your carer has the support they need, please get in touch.
For those caring for elderly relatives, we also run The Beacon Club, our respite day-care service for over-65s. Find out more here.
Young Carers
Caring can start at an early age; it might be as simple as helping a disabled parent around the home or supporting a sibling.
Young Adult Carers
We developed our Young Adult Carers support (for 16-25-year-olds) as a result of our work with young and adult carers.
Adult Carers
As part of the Edinburgh Carers Support Team, we currently support more than 100 adult carers, who have a wide range of challenges.
