Friday Youth Club
[ages 8-17]

A safe space in the community for young people

We run two youth club sessions to ensure we can deliver a fun and exciting range of activities for younger and older children.

Friday Youth Club is every Friday for:

• Eight to 11 years old: 4:30-6 pm.
• 12 to 17 years old: 6:30-8 p.m.

Space @ The Broomhouse Hub delivers a range of projects for young people living in our community. But one of the biggest requests we’ve had by far is a focus on youth work.

That’s why we launched our Friday Youth Club, a safe space for the young members in the local and surrounding areas to come along, hang out with friends, and enjoy fun activities—free of charge.

Youth groups play an important part in making sure that children have a ‘third place’ outside of school and the home to interact with others and help identify themselves as part of the wider community.

This is also a great opportunity to meet people outside of school and engage with other young people from different backgrounds. We understand the importance of delivering a quality youth work service, and that’s why we have a dedicated team of Youth Workers who are passionate about creating a fun environment and contribute to a consistent support network for our young people.

We currently provide two separate Friday Youth Club groups: one late-afternoon session for ages eight to 11, and an early-evening session for ages 12 to 17. Both take place every Friday at The Broomhouse Hub.

Our youth work provision is driven by the young people themselves—ensuring they get their say in decision-making and giving them a ‘seat at the table’ to shape their own experience with the service.

We strive to deliver a welcoming, inclusive environment for all young people, helping them to alleviate stress from the school day and enjoy time with their peers in a non-competitive setting.

PLEASE NOTE: Friday Youth Club is available on a sign-up-basis only, in order to ensure we can provide the right level of support to all of our young attendees.

Get in touch with our team via kerry.smith@spacescot.org to inquire about availability and how to register your child for one of our Youth Groups.

We ask that you DO NOT drop children off at Friday Youth Club sessions if they are not registered to attend.
We cannot permit any unidentified people access into the building during sessions to ensure the safety and security of all of our young attendees.
