ESOL Courses
Want to improve your communication skills, converse with native speakers, and build social connections, all whilst learning a new skill?
Our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme—provided in conjunction with Joined Up For Jobs, Edinburgh City Council, and The Edinburgh Guarantee funding—is a great place to start.
Join us at The Broomhouse Hub (79-89 Broomhouse Crescent, EH11 3RH) Monday through Thursday this summer for a variety of FREE classes.
Monday:
• Intermediate ESOL (online): ONGOING
Tuesday:
• Work Sector ESOL Course (new!): 14 July – 4 Aug.
(Topics include: beauty, social care, childcare, gardening)
Wednesday:
• Beginner ESOL: 15 July – 5 Aug.
• Intermediate ESOL: 15 July – 5 Aug.
Thursday:
• Conversation Class: 16 July – 30 July
Courses are open to everyone aged 16 and over.

Skills for Success
We are also running a new 10-week employability course for ESOL learners to boost their ‘Skills for Success‘.

💷 New for summer: Financial wellbeing session
Increase confidence, gain job skills, and improve English proficiency whilst working toward a professionally recognised qualification (which looks great on a CV!).
Got green fingers? Course participants are invited to continue their study during optional Thursday morning outdoor gardening sessions, run in partnership with Broomhouse Growers.
Course participants may also choose to take advantage of one-to-one appointments with a qualified English tutor, who can provide additional support with ESOL or employability needs, including filling out an application and practicing for interviews.
