Find Your ‘Third Space’ at Friday Youth Club

Looking for ‘third space’ outside home and school to meet people and have fun?

Look no further than our Friday Youth Club (returning to its regular schedule THIS WEEK—14 Aug.)

Space at The Broomhouse Hub is currently accepting Friday Youth Club applications for children moving into P4 after the school’s summer break.

To sign up a young person, please contact Kerry Smith via phone (0756 679 6227) or email (kerry.smith@spacescot.org) for a link to the registration form.

Youth groups play an important part in making sure that children have a ‘third place’ outside of school and the home to interact with others and help identify themselves as part of the wider community.

This is also a great opportunity to meet people outside of school and engage with other young people from different backgrounds. We understand the importance of delivering a quality youth work service, and that’s why we have a dedicated team of Youth Workers who are passionate about creating a fun environment and contribute to a consistent support network for our young people.

We currently provide two separate Friday Youth Club groups: one late-afternoon session for ages eight to 11, and an early-evening session for ages 12 to 17. Both take place every Friday at The Broomhouse Hub.

Our youth work provision is driven by the young people themselves—ensuring they get their say in decision-making and giving them a ‘seat at the table’ to shape their own experience with the service.

We strive to deliver a welcoming, inclusive environment for all young people, helping them to alleviate stress from the school day and enjoy time with their peers in a non-competitive setting.

PLEASE NOTE: Friday Youth Club is available on a sign-up-basis only, in order to ensure we can provide the right level of support to all of our young attendees.
