Mental health support for young people
PHEW is delivered as part of our community partnership with Wellbeing Together South West, formed with funding from the Scottish Government to strengthen the mental health and wellbeing provision for children, young people, and their families living in the South West of Edinburgh.
Working alongside SAMH, Big Hearts Community Trust, and WithKids, this partnership aims to provide support at the earliest opportunity to prevent mental health challenges developing and reduce the need for intensive mental health services.
If you would like to take part in either of our support services, please submit a referral on the link below.
People’s Health and Emotional Wellbeing (PHEW) offers 16- to 26-year-olds a safe and open space to connect with others and develop a better understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
Our group sessions—every second Thursday in The Broomhouse Hub from 6-8 p.m. (for 18- to 26-year-olds)—involve a variety of recreational activities and fun in The Hub and out among the community.
We also offer one-to-one mental health support for those aged 16 to 26 who might not be comfortable or ready to take part in our group sessions.
We are currently accepting referrals for our PHEW service.
Please complete a referral form (left) to register your interest.
