Thank You: Festive Donation Roundup

Did you know that Space at The Broomhouse Hub is a charity?

We see a future where our communities thrive, where people belong and lead fulfilling lives. We join members and partners to address wellbeing and economic challenges through our services and social enterprises. We believe that connections build communities.

And we do it all with the help of folks like you—who donate time, expertise, and money to keep Space and The Broomhouse Hub running smoothly.

As we wrap up for the holiday season, we’re highlighting some of the amazing festive offerings from people in and around Southwest Edinburgh that help ensure our community members have the gift of support (and chocolate!) this winter.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of those who donated to our #BuyABlanket Friday Youth Club campaign, we were able to provide young members with cosy coverings and selection boxes:

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear Tesco T-shirts.

Huge thanks to Kimberly at the Hermiston Gait Tesco for donating an amazing 40 selection boxes for our Friday Youth Club Christmas party:

Massive thanks to the team and customers of Corstorphine Gas Services for the fantastic donation of presents to our Bookbug members (delivered by Santa himself).

Youth and Families team member Nikki said: “This is an unbelievable show of generosity and we cannot thank Corstorphine Gas Services or their customers enough. It is lovely to see that despite all the other challenges, that people are still looking out for those who have less this Christmas. Absolutely brilliant.”

The Youth and Families team welcomed an incredible donation of selection boxes, toys, and more from Royal Mail.

Huge thanks to Maria for brightening our Monday with such a wonderful delivery. Participants across Space’s programmes will be thrilled to open their new presents this holiday.

There are so many ways to support Space and the local community during the festive season and beyond—from volunteering to investing.
