Thursday 10th August – 12pm to 4pm
That’s right, the wait is almost over! We are in for a real treat this year as the Broomhouse Street Party is even bigger and better than before. Join us on Thursday 10th August between 12pm and 4pm for an afternoon of fun, music, and community spirit celebrating Broomhouse!
The Street Party will take place between the Broomhouse Hub and St David’s Church, and the surrounding streets will be closed off by City of Edinburgh Council from 10am until 6pm to ensure the teams can safely set everything up ahead of time and so that everyone can move freely between the two sites throughout the duration of the event.

The street party is one of our biggest events of the year and is delivered by B Healthy Together, Community One Stop Shop, The BIG Project and St David’s Church alongside Space @ The Broomhouse Hub.
There will be plenty of great activities and entertainment for all of the family, with an interactive kids play area and firm favourites like face painting and balloon animals.
We will have amazing local musicians performing, including The Lime and the Coconut and DJ Nae Ice, along with our friends from the Ukrainian Choir. Some artists from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival have kindly agreed to pop over and put on some performances for us as well!
As always, we have some incredible organisations and community groups coming along to provide valuable information and advice to our community, along with fun activities such as crafting workshops and even a tombola! New for this year we also have our Market Street, where local and independent traders will be showcasing their wares and trinkets for sale.

Nothing brings people together better than food, and our Space Cafe and Outta Space Pizza teams will be on hand to serve up delicious meals for everyone – completely free of charge! On entry to the Street Party everyone will receive a voucher which can be redeemed for a free lunch at one of the dedicated Food Stations on either site.
We know that sometimes big events like these can be overwhelming at times, that’s why there will be a dedicated quiet zone within the church grounds for anyone who wants to take a break from all of the festivities.
While this is a celebration of our wonderful community and the people within it, the Broomhouse Street Party is open for everyone to enjoy, so don’t hesitate to pop along if you’re not local to the area – we will welcome you with open arms! We can’t wait, see you all there!
This event is made possible thanks to kind funding of The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland and National Lottery players as well as Edinburgh Council Community Fund.
